Character of the Society

Mohammad Irfani was born in Qarabah district of Ghazni province 1984.During the civil war like so many other Afghans, while a one year old baby; he immigrated to Iran with his family. During the time, he learned about and got familiar with cartoon and satire. Throughout his professional as a cartoonist he has been trying to expose the dark and the bright sides of the society. In comedy, including cartoon, we can see the depth of problems or matters which its surface can be touched only through laughing.

“Character of the Society “Exhibition are Mr.Erfani ‘s work that makes his latest experiences in newspapers during 2003, 2004, and 2005 by different names of Mohammad Zulikha ,Afifa Hassan and many more. )

Many of the issues included in this collection are still hot for people in Afghanistan considering these reasons Art Gallery of Afghan Cultural House decided to dedicate its 8^th exhibition for caricature collaboration by this committed artist. In recent years, he has been working as journalist and he is currently working with one of the famous Television Networks. Besides being a cartoonist, Mr.Erfani is a talented poet and writer and has a special interest to Afghan music.
